2026-2027 Application Process
Thank you for your interest in Holy Spirit Catholic School. Please note that your child(ren) must be between the age of 3-6 years of age on or before September 1st in order to attend PK3, PK4, K5, or first grade. Furthermore, Holy Spirit Catholic School does not routinely accept 8th-grade transfer students, and if so, it is at the discretion of the administration.
Admission into Holy Spirit Catholic School is selective. It is based on academic competence and personal potential within the Holy Spirit curriculum, considering information gained from past school records, standardized tests, pre-admission assessments, student questionnaires, and personal interaction. Admission and financial aid decisions are made without regard to race, sex, color, religion, or national or ethnic origin.
The Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) provides state funds that families may use toward Catholic school tuition and other approved educational expenses. Application for Admission
STEP ONE + APPLY: Complete the online application (click here for the application). A non-refundable application fee of $100.00 must accompany the completed application. The following forms (if applicable) must be uploaded during the application process:
- Your child’s state-certified birth certificate
- Sacrament certificates (Baptism, First Eucharist), if applicable
- Immunization record
- Current YTD and previous year-end report cards, if applicable
- Two years of standardized test scores (STAAR, NWEA, Iowa, etc.)
* Applications open for the new school year starting in August on the first Friday in January. A $100 non-refundable application fee and a $20 FACTS processing fee are required at submission.
STEP TWO + ASSESSMENT: As soon as an application and all the required documents are uploaded and the application fees are paid, the Admissions Department will review the application and records provided and will contact the parent/guardian to schedule the applicant's assessment. All PK4-8th grade students are assessed. This time helps us understand your child’s gifts and learning style so that we can best serve them.

- Grades 1–2: math and reading
- Grades 3–8: math, reading, grammar, and writing
Our Admissions Committee prayerfully reviews every child’s application, supporting documents, and assessment results. Each decision is made with care, keeping in mind both your child’s needs and our mission as a Catholic school. Families who are accepted will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the enrollment process. This step secures your child’s place at Holy Spirit. A $350 non-refundable enrollment fee per student is due within five (5) business days of acceptance.
